An NGO director has asked President Mwai Kibaki to gazette the National Land Commission. Community Initiative Action Group’s Chris Owalla, said if the commission is not operational before the end of the 10th Parliament, land injustices will remain unsolved.
“Why are the two principals dragging their feet on this sensitive issue and yet the commission has already been constituted, ready to face the task,” Owalla said. He was speaking at a public forum to teach locals on the proper procedure to handle land-related issues at Saint Julians Secondary School in Siaya district on Monday.
